Yooooooo!! That **** was tight! I like that promo and how they set up the two fighters to interview one another. I dug both men's posture and confidence. I still think Chad will pull it off but I saw a lot of fire in Wards eyes. I believe Chad when he said that it won't be a "snoozer".:bbb

 

I didn't see any fire, I saw the same expression I always see from Ward when he is preparing for a fight. If anything Dawson is just as motivated.

Can't wait for it. Ward has faced very good opposition every since he joined S6 and looked ****ing untouchable. I expect him to win a 116-112ish decision against Dawson. I wish this fight was at a catchweight or even at LHW.

Fight of the fall. It's a shame that the odds-pushing .... errr, inside info Miranda thread has distracted talk this week from the fight itself.

 

Dawson is live. I think Ward wins this on points but if anyone gets knocked its gonna be Ward, not Dawson.

Lol. In fights this closely matched, It usually goes to the fighter with more will. If history is any indication, then Ward is definitely the fighter with the stronger will. And Ward's timing is better than Dawson's. I remember when people said that Bute was a better boxer than Ward. But somehow Ward was able to negate Froch's attack, whereas Bute could not. When it comes to Ward, there definitely seems to be something that most people (including myself) overlook.

I guess the doubt Ward frequentley receives is accreditted to the fact that Ward challenges himself every fight.

 

This has been a really hard fight for me to pick because I think these guys are both prime and both have great skills. I think Ward will be bothered by Dawson's size and athletic ability atleast early on because he's never fought anyone like Dawson before. Dawson has fought someone similar to Ward in Hopkins and did well this should serve him well. With that said if Ward can adjust to Dawson and deal with Dawson's size speed and ability to box on the outside I think Ward will outwork and do enough to win rounds against Dawson, who can be frustrated and sometimes checks out for stretches. Ward is the more complete boxer here he also has the higher ring IQ and is more mentally tough. Another thing to remember this fight is in Oakland so Ward has that advantage and in a close fight they will no doubt give it to Ward. The only way Dawson wins is if he KOS Ward or he beats him by wide UD like 9-3 or 10-2, which he is capable of but I just don't think he will have enough the deck is just too stacked against him here with coming down in weight and fighting in Ward's hometown not to mention doing it against a quality operator in Ward, IMO that will be his undoing. Ward by close UD is my pick in a technical masterpiece.
