    what are your thoughts?

  2. Eubank on points or a late round stoppage , tht mans chin was iron

how does chin come into it? i think this fight goes the distance as both fighters are defensively sound. i think you would have to pick Eubank right now as he is clearly the more proven fighter. but i think we may see Ward reach Eubank's level in the near future and maybe? even surpass it. it is refreshing to see a young fighter especially given the current state of boxing who is comfortable getting inside and actually knowing how to fight there.

I'm much more of a Eubank fan but Ward's more solid fundamentals would see him picking Eubank and Eubanks sometimes lazyness with Ward's high workrate sees Ward build up a points lead. Perhaps Chris could score a come from behind KO, maybe, but I have to lean with a Ward UD.

If Ward loses to Froch or Abraham, then I'd certainly go with Eubank, I just have a feeling he maybe that good, his chin is still in need of a bit of testing though

Really need to see how the next couple of years pan out for Ward imo, though you don't need to be proven or even good to bother eubank on an off-night.

^If his masterclass performance against the indomitable Sakio Bika is any indication, I'm inclined to agree.

I was really impressed with Ward against Miranda and Kessler, but he was underwhelming against Bika. Looked slower, more hesitant, refused to throw combinations etc. I'm hoping the Bika fight was an aberration, because he's one of the few guys giving me hope that boxing ain't dead today.

    :good

The only thing that worries me is his developing old-Hopkins-esque tendency to be over-technical at times and forget to punch the other guy in the ****ing head.

Yeah his workrate definitely went down against Bika. Hope he doesn't become a 30 punch per round post 130 Floyd Mayweather type...

I got to say, it's refreshing to see a boxer-type with good in-fighting ability. Probably the thing that attracted me to Ward the most.
