If the fight is held in the UK Ward doesn't stand a snowballs chance, cause he can't pull any of his tricks and gets outpointed.
If it's held on a neutral site, it will be more competitive but I expecct Chris to win a close (maybe split) point decision.
If it's held in jOakland this fight would be very competitve and will probably be slightly in Wards favour... Then Eubank reacts like he always did when things didn't go his way; one big looping right hand makes an sudden end to the fight.

So in all 3 cases Chris Eubank takes it imo.

Eubank was a very good fighter on his best days...But other times he didnt impress me, and sometimes let mediocre fighters give him good or somewhat close fights.. I think hes alittle overrated, and he had a good style to match up with Benn.... Talented, quick, excellent chin, solid power...But inconsistant and his head seemed somewhere else, just didnt care for his approach sometimes... One of the best SMW for many years, but never elite or cracked my top 10 pfp list.... Outside of the Bika fight Ward has impressed me... Im taking Ward by close decision..

I thik Eubank and countreyman Froch are opposites.. Eubank more talented and looks like the better. fighter on tape.. BUt HTH i think its a pickem match.... unlike Eubank. Froch makes the most of what hes got,, he looks awkward and average skilled but he sure keeps getting those wins over good competition ..His resume and wins these last couple years says it all,, (although i though Dirrell beat him).

No way Eubank... I dont ever recall Eubank cracking the pfp list.. Talent might not be as deep as then (pfp) but Ward already has made most pfp list...

THe posters on this thread talk like Eubank was some elite pfp guy or great figther....You talk like he was on par with the TOneys,JOnes... Eubank would have been a big underdog vs those 2.

Eubank could sometimes look great and sometimes looked awful. Eubank usually looked bad against a fighter who tried to outbox and counter him like Close, Malinga, Watson and Rocchigiani. But excelled against fighters who came to him like Benn and Watson as he was a pure counter puncher, he could look ungainly and off balance when coming forward, hence why he often grabbed hold of his opponent after coming forward as he was often unbalanced and out of position when he did so.

Ward is a good boxer but seems to prefer to come forward and get inside which would play into Eubanks strengths and allow Eubank to fight his fight. I see Eubank winning a competitive UD. Eubank is simply better than anyone Ward has fought so far.

Dont know wtf are you talking about with this p4p list bull****, terrible way of evaluating 2 fighters in 2 totally different eras. Ward doesnt belong in the p4p list anyway and if he wasn't american he wouldnt be on anyones

Eubank was a far better fighter and much tougher competitor, he would have smashed hypejob Ward plain and simple

Ward shows to many looks for Eubank.. Ward's game is to not get caught with the big shot.. or at least flush with one.. His Southpaw/ Conventional Switching keeps fighters off his ass, plus his foot work is nice and I don't see Eubank imposing his will on Ward because of Wards tools... Pretty Entertaining fight I take Ward By UD or SD...

The poll is very one sided. Ward is a good fighter but he isn't finished yet. Eubank all day going by what i've seen of Ward up to now.

Eubank is crafty and has a good jab plus decent power in the right hand. Ward ducks low allot and Eubank had a tremendous uppercut so that would probably be a good punch for Eubank. Ward will get better so lets see in 5 years when he peaks how good he really is. At the moment beating Kessler does not translate to beating Eubank for me but Ward would no doubt be competitive in the fight.

Easy way of evaluating this. If Ward retired today would we see a thread about him every other day on ESB in 14years time?!?!

    Nope.

Different stage of career and completely different set of achievments. Eubanks a legend and it's almost an insult to even mention these two in a match up at this point in time!

Maybe one day you could make the argument, but take Ward now vs a prime Eubank. Eubank would be too experienced and based on the challenges Ward has had so far, too good.
