I defenitely go with Ward in this case, no doubt. But if he will rule the SMW in the future, that's a bit premature after beating only 2 big names and the last one not without contraverse because of the headbutting.

Dirrell would defenitely win if it was a running match though :D

Um, yeah I agree they'll fight for a title someday...next stage after Ward beats up Allan Green, then Dirrell gets a shot at Ward's belt.

High p4p ranking??? Hell no. Ward will probably make it into some lists eventually, Dirrell will be beaten so badly in this tournament that he'll either move up to LHW or spend the rest of his career like Miranda...bouncing around and losing all the big fights he takes. If anyone's even interested in fighting him, of course...he is supremely boring...

Look. I'm saying Direll and Ward are very good fighters who will get titles and have some defenses but at the end they will end up their careers with 5 or 6 loses. Dawson is on another level, he is the future p4p king, he will be undefeated for a long time.

First of all, Dirrell is not better than Ward. Ward is too smart for Dirrell and handled him easily when they sparred, though it was only sparring and happened years ago, Ward is improving more rapidly than Dirrell. The only way Ward ends up with 5 or 6 losses on his record is if he fights until he's Bernard Hopkins' age, but even then, I don't think so.

Second of all, Dawson is nowhere near Ward or Dirrell's league. Future pound for pound king? He'll never even crack the top ten. One major reason for Dawson's success is that the weight class he fights could very well be the weakest in boxing.

I'd say Dawson is easily a league above Dirrell at this point. Unless you know something about Dirrell that nobody else does...I mean, he's fought nobody except Froch, and he looked horrible doing it. Froch is the kind of guy that should be easy work for a slick boxer. I think Ward would handle Froch with ease.

Also, I agree about Ward not losing much. He'll retire with 2 or 3 losses imo. I think he's going to lose in the semifinals or finals, and I give Dirrell a shot against him though I think and hope that Ward will dominate him.

And Dawson has a lot of skill, but he reminds me of Dirrell...just wants to do enough to win. I do think Dawson is p4p material though...he definitely has the skill and commitment to his style to beat most anybody.
