    Thats a completely different statement , but still its debatable. Its also not a falsity to say he was the best for 20 by winning through methods that were illegal

    If they were illegal, then he should have been suspended for doing them. Refs are there to decide what's illegal and what's not, not biased fan who knows next to nothing about boxing.

    Don't be stupid. . Judges are there to decide who wins a fight. . That doesn't mean they are correct 100% of the time.

    Yeah sure, because something like taking away points for low blows never happens. Refs in boxing are there to keep the fight clean within the boxing rules.

    You don't like the way Wlad fought? Fine, a lot of people don't. It doesn't change how good he was objectively speaking. Just like your lack of appeal for oldschool fighters don't make them unskilled. You don't even watch them anyway, given your words about Langford for example.

    Still waiting for explaination what makes Ward better than Walker, Tunney, M. Gibbons, T. Gibbons or Loughran.

    It’s more that I’m not picking a guy who looks awful in the 30 seconds of existing film on him to beat a guy who won Gold, a bunch of titles, and hadn’t lost since being a preteen.

    I never said Ward is more orthodox, Ward just has better head movement ,better footwork, significantly better positioning at mid-close range when firing off combinations Here, compare the two yourself.

    It's incredibly hard to get an idea of how good Gene Tunney was on this video because he's clinching every 5 seconds but at times that he's at range or setting up powershots he looks good. But look at the opponent he's in there with, stalking forward with no head movement, sloppy overhand rights and right crosses and gives up his position easily when throwing them and at one point Tunney even throws an overhand right and has his backfoot up in the air like wtf lol

    We don't have any footage of Greb fighting. We do have a lot of footage of his opponents, most of them looking better than Ward.

    Better footwork? I just can't agree, Tunney was far superior in this department. Tunney was also far superior on outside.
