Andre Ward vs James DeGale should happen soon in Oakland

Nope. Hearn won't want it. I expect Degale to make one defense against a decent guy who he easily beats and then fight Groves, provided he beats Jack, next year - at Wembley - in front of 80,000 fans.

 

DeGale and Groves will not fight Ward, they have bigger money to make against each other. Expect DeGale vs Groves II next year and possibly a III later next year or 2017. They will be more than content not fighting Ward.

 

Of course the scrubs want to battle it out amongst themselves using th excuse well we pack emin but what they should do is go after the best in their own divsion to really see who the best is

 

Ward will only fight in his home town with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc.

 

This will tell us? Well we know Ward is the best, and i must add fight between Dirrell and Degale just rein firmed that but yup it is the best fight at 168, i just feel Degale will wait for Groves to rematch him, i think it would be really big in UK.

Neither of these guys needs Ward. They are the draws, and fighting each other they will get much more $$$ than getting boned in Oakland by Ward's personal ref and judges.

 

The Kessler fight was a complete and utter disgrace. You should watch it sometime. Ward should have been DQ'd:hi::deal

 

Ward won the Kessler fight by using his head, elbows, low blows, holding, etc., but the fight was stopped on an illegal headbutt that came from across the ring that cut Kessler very badly. Ward should have been disqualified...............Kessler was the champion, yet it was he who had to travel across the ocean to fight Ward in Ward's home town. If this case, the judges did not come into play, but Ward's referee did everything to help Ward win that fight. Watch it again...............even the commentators mentioned that the headbutt looked intentional and it was very obvious.....................

 

I don't see why Degale would fight Ward. Ward is clearly better than him. He does everything better than Degale. There is little money to be made in it. He will have to fight in Ward's back yard.

He will wait for Groves, and why not?

At SMW at the moment you basically have the winner of Groves/Jack, Degale and Ward so any combination of those I would be interested to see.

Like many have said though, wouldn't be surprised to see Degale - Groves II first if GG beats Jack as they'd both make more money and have a better chance than if they fought Ward. If its close could even be a third fight between them which leaves Andre a bit out in the cold.

 

Why would DeGale put his belt on the line and fight Ward in his backyard for peanuts, are people crazy. Make the fight in Las Vegas, otherwise if i was DeGale i wouldn't go.
