The ref was probably shocked by being slapped in the face in what was supposed to be a boxing match and said "**** this ****, whats next hair pulling?"

Uhm, Calzaghe was what, 36? 37? This nonsense of harping on Hopkins' age is dogsh*t. Calzaghe was well past his prime as well, and still beat Bernard's ass.
Prime Calzaghe v prime Ward is a mismatch, and Ward won't be thanking god after the scores are announced.

Ward is a better fighter than Joe. Sorry you disagree. By the end of the super 6 his resume will equal Joe's.

Two victories worth mentioning in his entire career. Why is so much space wasted on this hump around here. If he had any balls he could still be active. Now he is active snorting blow. I would say the Jokezaghe threads should be moved to the classic thread but there was nothing classic about this waste. Move this crap to the Euroland sub forum.

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl yes, brilliant use of imagery. How about the fact that Hopkins had to resort to feigned low-blows just to keep from gassing beyond recovery and having to throw in the towel? Calzaghe spanked his pompous ass back to Philly, and Bernard didn't even have the class to accept defeat.

You're well aware that I am in no way a Calzaghe apologist, but Calzaghe/Ward would be a mismatch. Ward has no power at all, and therefore, he would have absolutely no means of keeping Joe off of him. He is not faster than Joe, he does not move as well as Joe, and he is not smarter than Joe. This is a 120-108, or late TKO, type fight where Ward gets battered in every round.

Calzaghe has no power at all. Couldnt KO a shot Roy Jones Jr, struggled to land flush on an Old B Hop, pretty much could land any punch he wanted yet couldnt finish Jeff Lacy. Calzaghe's power is overrated. He fought bums most of his career, thus should have a great knockout percentage. If mayweather fought the caliber of fighter Cal Slap did, he'd have a 80% KO percentage.

For instance, Manny Pacquiao has a meager 69% KO percentage. But is known as one of the best punchers in boxing. Why because he fought top class talent. When you fight top class talent its harder to knock them out.

Add into the fact that Slappy Joe Slaps and Ward actually punches, there is no difference.

Ward is just as fast as Calzaghe, just as athletic, if not more so, and I'd actually give Ward the edge in strength, considering Ward was a decent strong safety in high school.

It took 3 rounds for Slaps to figure out Kessler. It took Ward, 1 minute. Nuff said.

This is why you're an imbecile. You've seen Calzaghe in his mid-30s with permanently injured hands and are assuming, like an imbecile, that that was how he was his whole career. I and many others here could go on and on and on trying to explain to you why you're viewing a career with blinders on but it's pointless. And, yes, Ward played football, therefore he's stronger. :nut You're an imbecile. Have a nice day. :good :thumbsup

Actually the fact that he struggled with robin reid a fight many figure he lost pretty much sums up what the Slap Master was in his prime.
