Neither guy has beaten great competition, but Andre's is far better than that bum Calzaghe. Calzaghe NEVER beat an elite boxer near their prime (Kessler is B level, not elite) and lost to a 43 year old geezer but got a gift from the judges.

Ward beat Kessler easier than Joe could and Kessler then went on to beat WBC champ Froch.

And??? Calzaghe beat Bika better than Ward. Also you are comparing faded end of career, last fight at the weight Calzaghe beating prime Kessler to prime Ward beating faded, not very active, unwell, double vision suffering Kessler who hadnt beaten a top SMW for 3 years prior.

Ward Stopped Kessler. Joe couldn't. End of story. Excues don't cut it.

The closest guy to Ward on Joes record was Hop. And if he had the youthful vigor of Ward he would of beaten Joe. He almost did it as a tired old man for goodness sake.
