Andre Ward vs Joe Calzaghe

I think Joe's fight with Bernard, was quantity vs quality.

I've only seen it once, but I had it as a draw.

I can't understand the thinking behind anyone who thinks an Andre Ward fight would have been easy for Joe.

Ward would rough Joe up and when he has frustrated him enough, he'd outbox him from the outside. It would be a good competitive fight. But, Ward is just too talented, IMO.

 

The problem is Ward hasn't faced anyone with an inside game like Joe's.... :good

 

True. I don't recall Joe being very strong in the clinch. And that's where Ward excels. He'd likely seek to smother a lot of Joe would do there. But, it's hard to say, Joe had very fast hands.

 

Ward would be too much and too clever for joe i reckon,

 

After witnessing Kovalev soundly outboxing AW and hurting him multiple times, I have no doubt what so ever that Calzaghe whips both Kovalev and ward in the 10/2 to the 9/3 range.

Calzaghe should be talked about on the ggg level, levelS above Kovalev and ward, that's for certain

 

If Kovalev could handle Hopkins and Ward, he'd beat the ever living **** out of Calzaghe.
