Glad for both guys, Pavlik has made it back from rock bottom to challenging the best fighter in the business. (His weight class) That in itself is an achievement.
Kelly's transformation from the Ghost to "El Fantasma" under the eye of Garcia will pay off & give us the best version of Pavlik since his glory days.

Glad Ward got the one guy who he can get paid fighting against @168.
Like this fight or not, This fight will be good guarantee that Pavlik puts up a better fight than Dawson.

A rematch with Dawson at 175 would be pretty good but don't overlook Pavlik guys. Kelly always brings it when he's 100% healthy and doesn't overlook his opponent.

 

I don't pay much attention to venues. It might be in Wards interest to have the fight some place out of Oakland. Just to promote himself to a different audience. It would be a calculated risk, but could back fire big time though.

Pavlik is still a good fighter, well-removed from his best. It's an okay defence. Even though I'd be more interested in one of the Dirrell brothers. Nikobless.
