Andre Ward Vs. Kelly Pavlik, Terrible fight for KP.

Better scenario, beat Kessler, Bute and make it close with Froch. Bigger payday with Ward.

 

This is NOT, I repeat, NOT a big payday by Pavlik's standards. You ****ing idiots that keep calling this a "cash out" need to educate yourselves or else just shut the **** up. Kelly will get about half of what a Chavez fight would pay.

 

I'm waiting to here the numbers but I'd be surprised if Kelly crack the $1 mill mark. Gait ain't gonna be **** so it will mainly be TV money.

Last week, i surmised that this gotta be a cashout fight for Pavlik, but i got laughed at (well, not really, but questioned). Mostly cuz of the lack of draw that Ward brings, well, supposedly lack of money.

But maybe Pavlik is running out of options, and also running out of ability. And mebbe this is an opportunity for one last hurrah, an almost win-win. If he gambles hard, he might get a good crack on Ward and stop him and be insta-vaulted to the top, till someone knocks him off quick. Or if he lost, at least better payment than the previous supermid fights. And that no other supermid had taken him seriously or his offers.
Thats the only thing i can speculate on

Ward should be able to win him against him handedly...

So... what is your opinion onto why a semi-washed up middleweight would take on the toughest supermiddleweight of the division?

I would like to believe that there are opportunities for an Abraham or Kessler match-up which would be more favorable for KP... but, would or was he taken seriously by those camps? Or did he go straight for Ward?

 

i speculate either the trainers know he aint even gonna pull a win even against the Class 2's, or think he's too good for them and not gonna get enuf money worth their while....

 

Kp gave martinez a pretty good fight, won 4 rounds and probably could have won more without a river of blood covering both eyes. He really struggled with martinez's hand speed and fast movement. Bhop kicked his ass with timing movement and kp has no game with people that move and counter well with left hooks.

Ward is too fast, too hard to hit and stellar with the left hook. Kp is going to look washed up even though he isn't. Only chance kp has is a prayer that ward can't time the snap of his buggy whips, but i doubt that will be the case. I'd love to see kp prove me wrong .

 

People forget Pavlik was beating Martinez up, until the cut! Ward has a terrible chin and Kelly can bang! Not that bad a fight for KP.

 

I'll repeat, if Kelly cracks that chin you will see 100 people all trying to be the first to put up a thread titled "Ward Exposed" and Kelly will get NO credit for the win.

I know this much from listening to about 2 hours of recent pod cast interviews: Pavlik is not fighting Ward for the money. He insisted on a fair pay check, but money is not the primary motivator. He ask for THIS FIGHT because HE believes he belongs in the ring with THE MAN at 168 the same way he did at 160.
