Andre Ward Vs. Kelly Pavlik, Terrible fight for KP.

I dont think he beats Froch or Kessler and even Abraham could be very tough

I think losing to them wouldnt help his career

vs Ward he is the underdog and wont have to travel to Europe, in fact training in Cali with Garcia means he wont have to travel all that far

if he loses he is supposed to no one would think any less, if he wins or looks good its a feather in the cap

if he fails to impress vs Froch Kessler or Abraham thats another story

 

Pavlik is washed up now smh

Ward repeatedy reaches in from to far out with his jab to the body. Pavlik has a very good lead right and a big reach advantage.

Ward never throws punches when he is going backward. He either dives in and clinches, or he opens up enough space to transition to forward movement. No one has ever beat Pavlik up in a clinch, and KP is very good at cutting off the ring and applying intelligent pressure.

Even Bika was effective with left hooks. Ward is frequently open to that punch. Pavlik is better with a left hook than any previous Ward opponent.

There is no evidence that Ward's chin is any better than it was when Darnell Boone had him doing a Zab Judah style chicken dance. Pavlik hits a hell of a lot harder than Boone.

Those are facts.

 

1 QUESTION:

Did pavlik every land that big right hand or left hook against Hopkins? No

What makes you think he will catch ward with it.

Every fighter has flaws and every fighter has a punchers chance. I just think his punchers chance is very slim. But we saw this fight already. I think ward is like a prime hopkins and pavlik couldnt land on the old version of hopkins. But now hes gonna land big right hands and left hooks against ward? I cant see it.

I see ward picking him off in the first few rounds just like hopkins and this will discourage pavlik as he will start thinking about that fight and by the 6 or 7th round he will be fighting just to not get stopped. He will probably last 12 but i dont see him hurting ward. Not because he doesnt have the power, he just doesnt have the technique.

 

The only shot I give Kelly to win is if he is able to time Ward jumping in to throw the jab or left hook. Minus that, Ward boxes his ears off.

 

Pavlik has lots of big macthes he could make, but Ward is one guy he needs to keep away from.

This will be similar to Froch/Ward.

I still want to see KP Vs Froch, Abraham and Kessler, wouldnt even mind a crossraods fiight with Bute.

 

Pavlik has more KOs them ward has fights. He has tons of experience. If he learned anything from the hopkins fight, then ward is in for it. I think pav is going to lite that chin up and stop ward via 10 round KO

 

He was promised another HBO regardless if he loses. And whatever Ward does, it's not going to ruin Pavlik. Ward is feather fisted and won't give Pavlik any hard beating.

 

If you are claiming that Ward is as good with his feet as BHop, I suggest you see you're local optometrist SOON. Ward/Hopkins comparisons make about as much sense as comparing horse**** with apple butter.
