I would love to hear your thoughts on this fight and if you feel this would be a good test for Ward because after all, Andrade did almost beat Bute, well he won the fight in my eyes but you know what went down, (CORRUPTION within the sport)
Ward's style is usually poison for a fighter like Andrande. That said, I love seeing this styles clash. (Nobody ever knows what happens until..)
Ward should be able to outbox Andrade but could he keep it up?I don't know cuz he has never been tested like that yet.
Andrade would be the perfect test for Ward before facing Froch for the title. Unfortunately I doubt it will happen because Andrade is out with an injury IIRC. Ward/Bika would be a good, similar test also.
Ward's a very talented young fighter. But Miranda is a broken, gate-keeper MW at best these days. Andrade or Bika would be a whole other order of business: bigger, stronger, more confident. Not saying Ward wouldn't win, but it would be a fight to mark on the calendar as essential viewing .
I've been pounding the table on this one the last few days; it's just the kind of seasoning that would benefit Andre and be a great fight to see, but I get a bad feeling that his camp won't want to tip the apple cart too much with a title shot for Andre all but guaranteed now.
It's hard to say... Ward should be able to pick Andrade apart, but so was Bute... How many wars can Andrade be in before he slows down?
If Ward can get by the pressure, dirty tactics, and POWER of Miranda then he should be fine with a genuine fighter in Andrade. Ward vs Froch should be made now.
I think that it would be UGLY....Andrade isnt a big banger, he is a mauler. The problem with that style is Ward isnt going to give him the chance to bang on him the way that other guys he has fought did.
This would be a good test for Ward. I'm still not sold on Bute, and as soon as he fights a top tier guy, he's done.
A Ward/Andrade fight would probably look alot like the Ward/Miranda fight. Ward won't gas down the stretch and Andrade won't be able to solve Ward's movement and angles.
