Andre Ward vs. Lucian Bute for all the marbles.

Ward would execute Dirrell.

I'd see a quittage in the middle rounds, Andrea bloodied and battered.

I'd make Ward a favourite against Bute, too smart, too good ultimately.

 

The polls extremely one sided, but that's how it is normally night after someone performs well. I think it's a bit closer then what majority feel it is.

 

I don't know why I even mentioned Dirrell tbh.

I'd be amazed if he fought another top level opponent. He just doesn't have the bottle.

 

It's a interesting question though, i've never really thought about the fight but neither man is gonna have it all there own way. Toughest fights of there career thus far in terms of problems to solve etc.

I really don't know if Bute will fight him, i believe he will try use Froch's trash talk to create that bout. He knows he can beat Froch and Carl's coming to end of his time where as Ward is in his prime years.

 

i was going to mention Stieglitz owned one of the "marbles" but i see he's going to be fighting Kessler in a few months

It's obvious too many folk are over-rating the fact Ward beat Froch so well. This provides no indication of a fight with Bute who has stylistic traits Ward would struggle with.

 

Andre is spot on.

Bute even mentioned this in an interview with BN or BM a while back.

He has just pulled a "Mayweather" really.
