Ward pretty easily. Bute proved he hasnt and wouldnt be in Ward's league.

Ward by decision or late KO. To me, Bute is over rated.

Ward by stoppage. Bute isn't big on taking punishment and even though Ward isn't a puncher once Ward got inside and started putting hands on him Bute would fold. He'd probably last longer than he did against Froch, but not much longer.

Ward close UD, but I wouldn't be surprised by a Bute KO.

Ward by late stoppage, after seeing what Froch did to him.

Nice use of triangle theory

I would pick Ward by decision, as he's feather fisted. However, this would be a close fight, and I give Bute a decent chance at pulling off the upset. Ignore the Froch-Bute fight, as Froch and Ward are nothing alike, styles make fights. Remember that Ward was hesitant to face Bute after the S6.

I'd still like to see Ward-Bute

If I was using the triangle theory, wouldn't I go for an earlier stoppage?

I referenced the Froch fight because of how soft Bute's chin is. Ward, despite not being the heaviest of hitters, does have enough pop in his punches to force a stoppage in the late rounds. Especially if he's roughing him up on the inside.

Froch and Ward are nothing alike, look at how Froch forced that stoppage, he walked right through Bute's power punches and forced the fight. Does Ward do that!? Not that I've seen.

Bute's chin is soft, but Ward isn't the man to check it, he's feather fisted, Allen Green took his best shots. Furthermore, Ward isn't going to walk through punches to land punches in the fashion Froch was

It would be a good fight, interesting clash of styles

:huh Where have I said the two are alike?

And since when is the only way to get to Bute, is to walk through his shots? Ward's slippery enough to close in on Bute without problem. You're acting like the only way to hurt Bute, is the way Froch did it.

You can skin a cat in more ways than one. Ward doesn't have to walk through shots to get his own off. He can close the distance brilliantly, smother Bute's work, and execute his own punches in the process. Punches which, by the way, aren't as feather-fisted as some make out. If he's physically strong enough to make Froch respect him (with one fully-operating hand), then I'm sure he's physcially strong enough to break Bute down.
