Wards only fight worth mentioning in super 6 was final against a tired Froch. The fact that Ward fought a middleweight in semifinal who fought 3 fights at smw and lost 2 should tell you all you need to know about super6. Andre Fraud is a bigger hype job than Bute, Bute would send him to hospital tomorrow if they meet, this is why Kovalev is off the menu

I agree with everything you've wrote here. Again, I was just pointing out that I think it would have been illogical for Andre to have fought Chad at any weight, if he'd genuinely feared Bute.

I remember reading Scully's account. Scully seems 100% real to me, I enjoy reading his comments and listening to his interviews. He says he had Chad running in the mountains under the sun, and Chad actually GAINED weight.

Yeah, I think Bute would have travelled though.

Mate, I'm not going through it all again.

    It's been done to death.

I know they were different fighters. But they were both big, skilled southpaws with speed. Same height, same reach etc.

Any guy who was genuinely scared of Lucian Bute, would not go and fight Chad Dawson instead.

    It's just silly.

If you don't agree, that's fine.

    We'll agree to disagree.

    It's what happens.

In my honest opinion, Andre was happy to sit back and watch Carl take the fight, but then when the spotlight was taken from him, I think he became jealous of the attention that Carl was getting. That's what I think happened. Andre has a huge ego. But I don't think Andre feared Bute, and I do think they'd have eventually met had Carl not destroyed him.

Fighters change their minds all the time.

    You know that.

I can show you links where Bernard was going to fight David Haye, or when Joe was going to move up to LHW in 2004.

    bailey,

    Again, we'll agree to disagree.

We've already discussed it at length on at least 3 occasions in the last few years.

You can't blame Andre for not going to Nottingham.

Bute's circumstances were different. He didn't enter the Super Six, and he fought Froch when the fight with Andre couldn't be made. He was itching to make a statement.

Why would Andre have gone to Nottingham? He'd already beaten him easily with a fractured hand.

I don't honestly believe that Carl wanted a rematch either.

no one forgot anything BUT YOU FORGOT that ward just beat the shyte outta froch first time, why would he need a return in Nottingham? let not forget ward then chased and destroyed dawson, who cowardzage had ran gibbering in fear into retirement from.

"bute was willing to do what ward wouldnt" what is this failey bs? LOL. WARD JUST BEAT HIM SENSELESS MORON.

But sure that Bute was willing to fight froch, after he saw ward beat him.

Ward never wanted to fight. He was just throwing that out there to cover up the upcoming lawsuits against Dan Goosen, a man who has put up so much money for and has lost a lot of money with Andre Ward! Ward was making it seem like he wanted the fights but he didnt. Anything Ward said after 2012 was garbage and half truths!

I can assure you, Bute is NOT a big draw in Canada. Most of Canada have never even heard of him.

He's a mediocre draw in Montreal, and that's it.

Literally 9/10 provinces, 0/3 territories - most people have never even heard of him.

Generally speaking, most things "coming out" of Canada really comes from Quebec. The rest of Canada don't care about anything.

And Bute was a huge draw in Quebec, prior to his loss to Froch. Bute was well liked, unlike Pascal and Stevenson who are draw but not very well liked. Actually Pascal is a likable guy trying to sell his fights by being an ass, but most people would tell you they hate the pimp.

Like I said he is not very well liked but there is an idea that because he's "from" Quebec and he's a champ that we should like him. To give you an idea, Bute is liked because he's a gentleman. Jean Pascal has a big mouth and that tends to go the other way but outside of boxing people know that he's a good guy. And then you got Adonis who's an immigrant criminal who abused girls in his past.

Can't say I talk about boxing to anyone I meet, but most people I talk to about boxing only watch his fights hoping he gets knock out cold. I guess only Haitian people support him, really.
