hahaha Bute is a mental midget compared to Ward and would not have won a single rnd? Ward would have bullied him for 12 straight, if Pascal out boxed this guy how would a smarter more focused and more skilled Ward have done?

Wasnt his choice- Bute didn't get invited. Showtime wanted 3 American fighters.

Their plan was for Bute to fight the winner, which is also why he wasn't brought on as an alternate. Showtime decided they had a ready-made super fight between Bute and the winner and angled for that.

I also think it's silly hindsight to say he didn't belong because he outperformed the other Super 6 fighters vs mutual opposition. At the very least, he deserved an alternate slot.

I am not sure Ward will face Kovalev until he has certain things stacked to his advantage.
If Kovalev is tight at the weight and drained to make LHW, then I think it could happen.
If Kovalev were to suffer a surprise loss, I have a feeling Ward would quickly jump to face the winner and then not have to fave Sergey.
I think Ward may stay fresh against opposition that is not too tough and after Kovalev has several tough draining fights and ready to be beaten, think then Ward may face Kovalev

I seem to think he mentioned the S6 winner should face Bute, then after it was something like Bute needs to face someone else first, then later mentioned that was to build the fight and that he was wanting to face Bute but Bute has signed to fight Froch.
Which part do you think was correct?

Ward easy UD, Bute is hype product like Lacy was.
Bute was #4 SMW at best, Ward Kessler and Froch were always above him!

I never felt Bute was a fighter who could beat some of the SMW greats but did feel at that time that he was probably the best SMW and thought he would beat Froch, but I didnt think Bute could have beaten top SMWs from the previous era.
Really the S6 showed me how much I felt the division had gone down. Consider Wards best win was faded unwell Kessler, who beat Froch who was coming off a Mdec over G Johnson. I felt it was a division getting publicity but at a bit of a low from a few years previously

Thats sort of how I see it.
Froch fought all of the original S6 fighters one after the other and G Johnson and had been away for 5 of his last 6 fights. I am convinced he was very fatigued. He was coming off a Mdec over G Johnson!

G Johnson who I think has more losses at SMW than wins was right near the end facing Froch for a right to the final

Ward did win the S6, but really he beat Kessler, who beat Froch, who beat Bute and Abraham but Ward never faced any when undefeated

I seem to think Serge posted something about Dawson asking for a bit of give on the weight and Ward not agreeing. If that is correct than I expect he would have known

When they rolled in Alan Green as a replacement I stopped watching the tournament. I knew exactly what was going on and I wasn't going to support it.
