Andre Ward vs. Lucian Bute.

Refusing to fight Froch in Nottingham was a huge mistake. Why?? Andre they dude was giving you a chance to beat him again in his home town. You could have demanded a large chunk because at that moment Froch needed you also. So don't say it was the money!! Ward would get to dictate the purse split being that he is fighting in hostile territory. If Andre could beat him again that he would of blown up his self worth over there. He could of went on and beatup on Abe again. Hey its all money fights right! Huge huge chance Ward missed out on.

 

There was also the Kessler rematch in Denmark that got shot down, too. With as faded as Kessler was, that'd have been even easier work.

From fightnews: "The Commission’s decision related, “For example, in February 2014, having been advised that Ward was willing to fight Mikkel Kessler, Goossen obtained an offer for a Ward-Kessler fight. The offer was not accepted, but the evidence adduced at the arbitration hearing demonstrated that it was a good faith offer.”

 

Ward had no business in Nottingham he would have been robbed just like Direll was that's why he declined Nottingham. Froch was the one that needed the fight more than Ward .Froch was the one that needed to avenge the loss not the other way around .

 

As I recall most magazines I read felt Froch beat Dirrell

 

I think ward would have handled bute without much difficulty. bute was similar to cowardzaghe, needing a local ref to protect him and award him wins. but unlike cowardzaghe, bute did not run in gibbering terror from froch, credit to him for not doing so.

 

I am pretty sure froch knows ward has the upper hand over him. In pretty much all the interviews I have heard since, forch has only ever mentioned the Kessler fight as the one where he would likely have won if he'd been at home (and went on to, to prove his words). Froch tends to steer clear of Ward - I think he knows the guy was simply better than him on any given day.

 

Horrible mistake Andre Ward made. Dan Goosen must have been like dude , after all I done for you? Ward kept saying that he promoter wasn't getting him fights. But he was. They could of got him a Kessler,Groves, Degale and Dirrell fights. Ward shot them all down saying that those fights were steps backwards. But what people and Ward didn't realize is when your in a lawsuit with your promoter, people wont want to deal with you. Its scares away the business. Nobody will touch it. Why set yourself up in the middle of a lawsuit?? I said it all the time that Ward was toxic. Even Haymon didn't want him. So that should tell you something right there!

 

Don't let it get to the judges. C'mon man you tell me Ward cant shut Froch out? Stop! That fear of getting robbed was gay azz hell. People fight in others back yards all the time. Ward acting like its a trip to the Moon!

 

It is difficult to work Ward out, as he wasnt interested in facing Bute, didnt face Dirrell, decided against Degale, wasnt interested in facing Froch in Nottingham, didnt get the Kessler fight in Denmark.
He hasnt faced a top SMW for a long time

 

Yeah and after a while your like Andre who do you want to fight man? lol

 

:good That's the same thing I noticed...Al got pretty much every U.S. talent he wanted. The fact he didn't even bother making a play to land Ward given his stable around that weight area says it all.

 

I remember Ward's first public statement was that his lawsuit with his promoter is not stopping him from fighting. Then what the fukk was stopping you? Ward lied in so many interviews and gave conflicting statements. Its hilarious that the SOG lies so much.

 

Yep cant deny that. And Al has alotb of money to work with. But Al doesn't trust Ward from the Gossen lawsuit. A lot of people involved in boxing management and promotion know that Andre Ward was wrong in what he did to Dan Goosen. Dan was a respectable promoter that never ripped off anyone. People in the business see you as possible trouble and will pass on you.

 

That's why Goseen filed the defamation suit shortly before he died. Ward wanted to keep himself relevant so he went to the boxing public and started saying stuff about possible Ali Act violations. Goosen fired back at him. That's like calling him a crook. Does anybody think that Al Haymon wants to sign a fighter who has past history of filling baseless lawsuits citing the Ali Act? LOL

 

I recently put HerolGee on ignore and I notice he is posting here and that nobody seems to be replying to his posts. I guess it must be like I thought in that he is an irrelevant poster
