    12 rounds, who takes it?

    I think Ward is a live underdog. Never knocked out and retired undefeated. Cagey fighter who can box as well as fight on the inside. Has a slight height and reach advantage.

    Exactly Wins. And Moore and Charles are much better LHWs and obvious better HWs than Ward.

    Obviously EVERYONE ON THE FORUM thinks Marciano was a bum that ray mancini even would wipe his ass with. We get it. A worthless overrated quasi clubfighter who each poster could personally beat the ass of. ****ING ENOUGH! Change the subject!

    very interesting fight. sure, ward was a far superior Talent. but stylewise, this could be a bad matchup for ward. ward wasnt the flashy dancer with Lightning handspeed. he was crafty and loved to fight on the inside. and that would be his downfall. he would have early success……..but eventually, maricanos crude but far more powerfull Blows take their toll.

    marciano by 10th round stoppage.

    Would Ward get in the ring with Marciano? If he did it wouldn't be pretty, and wouldn't go to a dec. Marciano by brutal Ko within 7rds.

    Neither of them were prime and gave him hell. I mean charles was pretty worn out and went 15 and it was competitive. Ward is prime with far less mileage.

    Rocky never fought a guy who went to the body as much as ward. It would be interesting. Theres only a 10 pound difference and ward has height and reach.

    Are we comparing Marciano with slightly above average super middles now? Ward gets knocked out cold by Rex Layne and Archie Moore

    This would be a brutal mismatch. But, fun to watch while it lasted. Marciano wins by KO in 5-6 rounds.

    If Ward absorbs punishment better than I think he does or can, I think Rocky ruins him. Maybe like 9 rounds. Brutal beating.

    If Ward absorbs the way I think he will, he'll get stopped in 5 or 6. But at least he would not get ruined that way.

    I'll take it as a serious question as Marciano was s very small heavyweight that defended his title against three former light heavyweights in Charles, Cockell and Moore .. Ward was an exceptional boxer but I don't him having the style, size or power to defeat the best version of Marciano .. maybe he lasts the distance, maybe not .. either way, Rocky would not run out of gas and be broken down by Ward as was Kos .. Rocky was much stronger and better conditioned. He wins either by stoppage or decision .
