Andre Ward vs Mikkel Kessler Round 6 and 7. Straight Schooling!

One thing is clear from that fight. Kessler showed absolutely no desire to just bite down and go to war, none whatsoever. I'm not ignorant enough to say Ward isn't that good. He is world class, but so is Carl Froch. I do think people go over the top on Ward's inside game a bit, its not as skilled as its made out to be. Froch will not be bullied up close, not by Ward, not by any man.

Ward's best performance to date. Very dirty, but Kessler had no answers for Ward's versatility, speed, accuracy, and boxing skills.

 

interesting video but there is also alot of holding. I was watching some of this fight recently and noticed that round 9 & 10 was very even, could have gone Kesslers way and round 2 was a Kessler round. Ward should have had points deducted for holding. It was very excessive.
Kessler was very badly cheated. Kessler gets warned for head use. Gets punched after the bell in round 10 and Ward gets allowed to cheat

 

Hitting after the bell, and using headbutts that would have gotten himself DQ anywhere outside Oakland atsch:-(

Ward needs to learn how to fight in a way that does not make the sport look like a joke. He says he is trying to learn to keep his head out of the way. Let us all wish him good luck with that :good

 

Knowledgeable boxing fans realize Calzaghe would have outslapped Ward seven days a weak :good

Ward beats him up and pot shots him for 3 minutes (or 3:02) straight. Kessler is getting absolutely crushed.

Round 6 look like a scrap in the Parking lot somewhere... Ward was just on Kessler like White on rice.. Kessler needs space to fight and he wasn't getting it.. Whats funny is this is Ward 4 fights ago.. he has cleaned up his game a lil bit, his inside work is cleaner..

Sorry but Ward Gets inside those long arms of Froch and trys him on the inside.. That's where we will see if Froch can back up the talk of not being bullied.. Ward proves to be nasty on the inside and I have not seen any inside work from Froch that was planned it was all reaction..

and by the looks of Froch reaction he may want to be careful against someone who knows what they are doing on the inside..

:nono not till I see Bute fight someone who and A level fighter.. Even though Bute has beat all that he faced I have seen him get hit with some sucka shots.. he has a a few holes in his Defense.. Defense wins more Championships than offense does...
