Andre Ward vs Mikkel Kessler Round 6 and 7. Straight Schooling!

Kessler was dumb in his preparations for that fight. He had no idea who Ward was or how he fought. In interviews he was talking about his style like it was Andre Dirrell's. The infighting completely surprised him imo. He's not a good infighter as it is, and he had prepared to fight an outfighter.

That said, Kessler won 2-3 out of 11 rounds. So he did about as well as he did against Calzaghe, in spite of the fouls/ring rust. This wasn't the schooling it's made it to be. More like a hard lesson.

All the cuts were caused by fouls. By rd 8 Kessler was telling his corner he couldn't see, which every fighter knows means 'take me out.' This, to me, means that by that time the vision had been bothering him a while. Kessler's not a mentally weak guy. The fouling did effect the course of the fight. i think ward was the better guy that night, but it would have been closer and a lot more entertaining. i favor kessler in a rematch.

 

No, Cuban judges don't like cowards who run and cry the whole fight either.


Yeah, if Ward does to Froch what Dirrell did to Froch get ready to watch the rapid decline of Ward. Following the game plan of cowardly running away the whole fight, getting beat up in clinches, complaining to the ref for punches landing in a clinch. So sure, let's hope Ward fights like Dirrell..... losses and then gets mocked for his lack of spine.

How does everyone gloss over the fact that during that fight with Ward he illegally was bending at his waist all night. To avoid punches he bent down below his opponents waist. That's not great defensive posturing, that's breaking the rules to not get hit.

 

It's no secret that anyone who knows boxing completely understood that once the Danish hype left from fighting bums in Denmark, that he would be exposed. He did, and it happened exactly as predicted.

Racists always cry and moan "reverse racism", when in fact, these white bums always come in a favorites with no justification except that they are white.
White fighters I like and respect; Pavlik, Froch (but he will lose to Ward).
Bute, he's just like Kessler, a hype who would probably come in as a favorite against Ward/BHOP/Tarver, although he has fought, nobody.

 

Ward schools Kessler every time. And I say that even though I'd be rooting for Kessler every time. Ward is simply a better, more talented, more versatile, and faster fighter than Kessler. Kessler is supposed to have one of the best jabs in boxing and Ward out-jabbed him. The fouls were heinous though. The fight would have played out differently in a different venue, but Ward would have still won.

 

Are you serious? The excuses are getting pretty sad. Kessler got his ass handed to him, simple as that. Apparently Ward is tired of hearing the excuses as well, as he's said he wants to fight Kessler again. I've never heard anything out of Kessler's mouth about a rematch.

 

Mikel is joe's best smw victory. A victory shared by ward in a more dominant fashion. If ward beats froch that will also surpass joe's second best victory at the weight against lacy.

His victories over miranda, bika, green and abraham are a good addition also. A very good top 6 victory list.

The domination of mikel was the start of something special.

It's a petty complaint and had **** to do with the outcome of the fight. Again, Ward has expressed a desire for a rematch just to shut people up. Kessler hasn't even mentioned Ward's name. I wonder why? This is the same **** that happened after the Mayweather/Hatton fight. Everyone was complaining about the ref and supposed illegal tactics. When Mayweather started talking about a rematch, everyone shut the **** up about the ref and said a rematch would be pointless. Kessler can't beat Ward, simple as that.
