Andre Ward vs Mikkel Kessler Round 6 and 7. Straight Schooling!

Did you think mikel looked past his best when he fought froch

 

Prime but different. And now we know that he could have looked even better without the eye injury. But Froch is the kind of guy that Kessler's style is always going to look good against, imo.

He looked good but just not as sharp as he used to. That could be down to the eye, because he's not really that old and hasn't taken beatings. Interesting to see how he does when he's at 100% for sure.

If Dirrell would have schooled, there would have been no room for the judges to score the fight for Froch. And comments from the Dirrell team made it very clear they where unhappy about the terms for the Ward fight, then suddenly Dr Shaw High appears out of nowhere.

Dirrell ****ed up against Froch. And he ducked Ward. Stop pretending you believe differently.

Dirrell made Froch look like a club fighter and completely out boxed him. Froch received the gift decision because the fight was in England. Froch should have been the stronger of the two, yet it was he who had his back against the ropes with Dirrell lading clean shots to the head. Dirrell has Froch swing and missing like an amateur.

A match up between Dirrell/Ward would have been a much more competitive match up for teh finals of the Super 6.

 

Have you ever seen Kessler headbutt oponents with a hometown ref?

IMHO, he looked the same as his fight with Calazaghe, with the exception he was facing better competition. But that's just my opinion.:yep

 

Joe beat Bika clearer than Ward so lets not get carried away again Luf. Ward beat an already defeated double vision suffering Kessler. Calzaghe beat an undefeated Kessler, also Eubank was arguably as good a SMW win as Kessler.
You rate wins over Bika who had, had very few rounds in a year and was beaten years previous by Calzaghe, Green who couldnt beat gatekeeper Miranda and was KOd in his next fight by more losses at SMWs than Wins Johnson. You forget that Abraham was coming off of 2 clear S6 losses and isnt a good SMW at all.
Eubank, Mitchell or Reid could be argued as better SMW victories for Calzaghe over Lacy, Its just Lacy was hype and hype fools people. I see you are taken in by the S6 terribly. Its a great comp but everyone seems to have forgotten Froch lost to Kessler coming off a loss

Kessler has always been limited. This is where it caught up to him in a major way.

 

it was odd kessler going to oakland as the belt holder for his first fight in the super six, he must have gone into that fight with his eyes wide shut, he made no attempt to change tactics the entire fight, thats kesslers problem, if he cant beat you one way, he cant beat you

people like ward and calzaghe would always beat kessler, i think froch at least will try to mix things up a bit if things are going badly against ward
