Ward is the most complete fighter in boxing. He's simply too clever and to quick for anyone at light heavyweight, including Kovalev.
You've never seen Gvozdyk have you? And I'm sure you'll think differently when you see your dull hero unconscious in a heap on the canvass.
It's you who's in fantasy land, I hyped Barrera a lot, however no one ask how I think Kovalev-Barrea would go, it wouldn't last 4 rounds. Kovalev is on another level than anyone Ward has fought to date, including Chad Dawson and Mikkel Kessler in terms of skill.
Oh, was it you who picked Barrera to stop Ward?! atsch:rofl YDKSAB! I don't care what level Kovalev is on. He's not beating Andre Ward.
Yeah, I think Ward would beat him too. He's a good prospect, but I don't think he beats Ward. He definitely is a gigantic LHW. I remember seeing his debut on the Pacquiao/Bradley undercard.
Being better than Barrera doesn't mean much. Being on Ward's level means a lot. Ward is a damn good fighter.
He's aloooooooot better than Barrera, he's got Lomachenko/Usyk like skill, as good of a fighter as Ward is, the reality is most of his opponents are fairly one dimensional, aside from Kessler, which was the foul filled fight of Ward's career, Gvozdyk is anything but one dimensional. He would give Ward many problems.
I've seen him since his debut. He's a good fighter, big for the division. I just don't see him beating Ward, though. I just don't think he's ready. His resume is about as slim as Barrera's even if he does get past Mohammedi. I have to say, though. The winner of Kovalev/Ward is going to inherit a mess. The division just has so many talented prospects and contenders. Bivol is going to be scary once he gets more experience under his belt.
