Sorry but you thought Barrera had a chance, you have a credibility gap that you have to close first before making definitive statements like this. Doesn't matter how many names you might know. Hopefully this one won't be another Buminov or Bumlovkin.
Gvozdyk has now beaten Mohammedi and Chilemba more decisively than Kovalev. And Kovalev just beat Ward, well can Gvozdyk beat Ward more decisively as well?
Well, to resurrect an old topic - Gvozdyk currently is the only one I'd favor against Ward. He's got the range, the bang, cuts the ring well, good at coming from odd angles, damn good and powerful jab and he's two-handed. He's also a good master of the "spoiler" type of boxing (Ward is king there though). 60/40 Gvozdyk and definitely a fight I'd love to see.
I like Gvozdyk`s chances vs Ward more than his chances vs punchers like Kovalev,Beterbiev and Stevenson currently. Gvozdyk has shaky chin and is terrified of getting hit,it doesnt mean im not a fan but thats not a good thing when ur afraid and fight with fear of getting hit in the face.Saw him shook and closing his eyes during every exchange vs that cuban[Yuneski Gonzalez] in his last fight.
I think Gvozdyk would beat SOB, but he will need steel testicles! Tony Weeks will stop the fight as soon as SOB lands a punch to the testicles and Bob Bennett will start lying, refuse to watch the replay. The reason there is not instant replay in boxing is because boxing is corrupt! Just like the Kovalev fight...........
Apparently this is being discussed for December. Arum and Roc Nation are both up for it and Ward's commentating the Crawford-Indongo card with Gvozydk-Baker to hype it. http://www.boxingtalk.com/pag/article.php?aid=32820 Gvozdyk would be a serious challenge, but while his mobility and maintenance of range is better than Kovalev's his attack isn't as varied and unpredictable, nor of course is he quite the puncher. And he sure hasn't shown he has Ward's ring smarts. Andre will size him up, pick him apart, and break him down.
