Still inexperienced is the Nail, with 16 fights Ward may be too much right now but if the $ makes sense its worth the experience gain because Ward will take him to school. I like the Nail and looks like he has power but still needs-fights-experience

It would be impressive if Ward came back and beat Bivol and the Voz but unless he starts having money issues, I don't think he's coming back. He's really good as a commentator and I'd like to see him stick to doing that.

I'd much rather see Kov/Alvarez, Bivol, Beterbiev and the Nail clash for unification. There's far more glory and money in those fights.

This. From how I see it, Gvozdyk fight is winnable for Ward and, although he doesn't make a lot of money out of it, it would certainly boost his ego, which is within his character.

I remember that after he beat Kovalev the first thing he said was 'Can you call me p4p #1 now?'. He's kind of obsessed with his legacy and status but that's also partially the reason why he retired early - to keep his undefeated record after his career signature win.

Virgil Hunter. @iii, and what has happened to him? Is he unable to work as a trainer anymore?

Virgil? Really? I had no idea. If Ward is now without Virgil, that has to make a difference. Even so, at this point of his development, it might not be that big a problem. We'll see how it shakes out I guess. At any rate, I see it as a winnable fight for Ward.
