DeGale at 8-0 totally schooled and stopped him, lets see what Ward can do.

**** fight. Since it's on BET it doesn't eat into HBOs budget so whatever.

Can't believe the relatively positive feedback on this. Paul Smith is a domestic /European level opponent. He won the lottery getting the AA fight not once but twice. Let's not forget AA appears faded and Smith had been chinned twice by a very green Degale and an up and coming Groves. Smith's best win for years is against Dodson!

This is getting silly now. Especially the claim that he is 'world level'. Get in the ring and fight Fielding because I reckon he would struggle there

Meh Chaves is levels below Ward and is fighting WBC 4 Fonfara......

Paul Smith god I hope he does more after this fight I understand it's a tuneup but Ward is the most talented fighter in the division.

I'm sorry but Smith has already been destroyed by DeGale and Groves when they were both pro novices.

True but he since gave Abraham two rough nights. You're as good (or bad) as your last performance or two in this biz.

...mind you I'm not defending Smith as Ward's disappointing layoff ender, but he isn't a complete bum or anything. He's roughly as reasonable as Rodriguez was, give or take.

The whole "tune up"-thing is kind of suspicious :huh If Team Ward wants to see how Ward does against Smith, they could just hire him as a sparring partner.

We'll just have to wait and see who Ward targets next. This fight is a non-event.

not for smith! 3 successive title fights after such a distinctly underwhelming career represents great business.
