Horrible match up but Abraham cherry picked Smith twice and no one made much of a fuss so as a tune up you can't really criticize it

Chaves is fighting WBC 4 at LHW Fonfara after a long lay off and he's levels below Ward!

The inactivity between Froch and Ward is 6 months. Yet Ward is looking at fighters like Perbian and Smith while Froch has started mentioning Degale!

 

In what way does Chavez have a longer lay off?

I can't be having this, DeGale was a novice and stopped Smith, Groves blew him away in less than 2 rounds.

Ward is a talented boxer with all the makings of an ATG I would at least think his comeback would be against someone in the top 20.

 

Well yeah, that's the definition of irony here. Ward to Froch: "no offense to Carl, but at this time he's still fighting at domestic level", or something along those lines when Groves 2 was announced.
