    Agreed, hell even if Ward lost this fight, I'd still pick him over Bute. At the ELITE level, every fight is different.

    Watched Joe's entire career as it happened. He basically only fought nobodies. Well, except for slipping in two ancient men that still dropped him.

    Calz = Starie = Sheika = Ottke = Reid

    More or less. Not a material difference. But, Joe and Sven had the better protective management working hard to polish those flaws.:lol:

    Eh, Ward's smothering style could be all wrong for Bute. I don't like him at close quarters with a guy that can rip short uppercuts like that.

    I now have a vision of what hell must be:

    The lobby of the Overlook hotel has a TV with this fight playing. On repeat. Forever.

    I enjoyed the fight. Watching two guys go at it like that pushing each other all around is great. Seemed like Bika started something that he didn't want to finish.

    I'm very surprised people are claiming this would be a stylistic advantage for Ward. You try to bull your way in on Bute, he can time you and knock you out cold with very little room. Very risky fight for Ward's physical approach.

    At first I thought you were saying the other way around. Yeah, I agree. Bute's short shots could spell trouble for a come forward guy like Ward. Ward seems versatile so maybe he'd fight that kind of fight differently.

    You merely responded to it? Man, you wrote 2 posts in a row which contained about 2 thousand lines explaining how Ward would ko Bika. Act like a man and acknowledge you were wrong.

    Ward is such a boring fighter. He grabs. He butts. He wrestles. He throws elbows, forearms, shoulders. But then he follows up with....

    Nothing really. A few sneaky shots here and there on the break.

    Even if you like the guy, how do you like the fighter? I'm no Bika fan (who really is?), but I was hoping he'd get lucky. And for all you Calzaghe fans/haters -- I'm not either, but Joe was ALWAYS more satisfying to watch than ANDRE BORED.

    This is true, but for some kind of reasons he seems to enjoy more to fight a rough inside fight ...when I think he has the skills to outbox these guys eassly
