A fight where two undefeated giants clash

1st step of Ward's eventual domination of 175.

And what a tentative step it has been. Infact until the weigh in i wont be convinced that steps guna land. Would of been so much easier if the fight he originally had planned had been sanctioned. Cant remember now who it was but i think it was some Aussie 168,er he wanted to fatten up.

I dont think its a great fight but when did Ward fully agree to this fight as I wasnt sure it was happening and now there is only around 5/6 weeks before it is due to happen

I'd rather talk about this than some random eastern european cave beast. Barrera is a live body but he's kind of standard. I don't see anything that's going to give Ward too much trouble.

Ward looked quite rusty last time out. And Barrera is quite strong so Ward might have to fight at a distance; something that could possibly be of advantage to Barrera if Wards timing and senses are off.

This is an interesting bout. Ward will shine.

Both sides are annoying me in this fight.

Ward isn't going to steamroll with ease a big physically strong, taller, tough and skilled opponent.

And to all of the Ward detractors Barrera is the most solid opponent Ward has faced since Froch, including the drained Dawson, there are variables at play here that Barrera brings to the table that Dawson especially a drained version didn't.

This is a damn good, very compelling fight, and the outcome is not easy to predict, it can end in any way, Ward could win on points and Barrera could win on points or even by stoppage.

To me Ward didn't really look rusty. But then again against a Paul Smith the rust wont show. One thing I did notice is Ward was breathing really heavy in between rounds after about the 4th. I hope he conditions himself better.

That was the Colombian. The aussie was Rohan Murdoch. A male stripper who fights part time.

Andre Ward should quit fighting and commit himself fully for his new cinematic career. i loved him in Creed, especially when he threatens to sue WBC and Tony Bellew, that role fits him like a glove if i may say so ...

I see Ward wining a 8-4 type of fight. Barrers's size and skill will give Ward problems it won't be easy.
