Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera

Two days out @ the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA. IBF light heavyweight title eliminator, airing live on HBO WCB.

Barrera is a 9/2 betting underdog - and rightfully so, IMO.

 

Yes - intermittent and slapdash, aesthetically unpleasing patches, like the body hair of George The Animal Steele.

 

Distinct possibility. Barrera is getting overrated big time since this match-up was announced. I feel like there's a lot of wishful thinking going on. It reminds me of when the "everybody tunes in to see Mayweather lose" phenomenon started reaching a fever pitch.

...and to be honest, Ward deserves it more than Mayweather ever did. The latter was just confident and flashy. The former with all the inactivity and weight stipulation issues has become more of an obnoxious, bad-for-boxing diva than PBF ever was. (and he isn't half the pure technical boxer or as nice to watch, despite being in roughly the same league - but still a notch or two below, just closer than most - in overall "ability")
