About seventy-eight seconds in? That overhand right?

THAT'S what you're jacking up from molehill to mountain, CST?

That didn't even land flush, and certainly didn't wobble him. Ward ducked to ride it and then stayed bent over for a few additional seconds a) to duck the followup overhand right (which missed completely, sailing over his back) and b) involuntarily as his neck got wedged under Smith's arm when the latter missed his followup punch.

That was literally nothing. If that is your smoking gun that Ward could be caught and hurt by something from Barrera you really are grasping at straws. :deal

That shot has never even come into the equation as to why I think Barrera will beat him.

He knows me a hell of a lot better than you do, and he also happens to think Martin beating AJ isn't a long shot.:good

1.3 million HBO views. I don't believe Genadavich has ever done better numbers.

OK. Fair enough. However, you used the word probably. That indicates that you know it as at least possible that Barrera "might" be able to beat him. Your position also indicates, at least to me, you believe he is not. Again, I am looking at Ward's moving up in weight with ring rust and taking on a guy that is undefeated and has some pop. He is not the heaviest handed guy in history but with the factors aforementioned it is possible. Both are highly motivated as there is the big money fight and glory with Kovalev in the future if they win. I just think this may well be a bad first move by Ward and he will lose because of it. It is not based on not liking Ward. Ward also relies on being able to impose more strength on other fighters and this is something he will not be able to do with Barrera. Barrera by ko. probably in less than 7.

Don't buy into all the BS about Ward being ring rusty he will be sharp.

Barrera is guaranteed Kovalev if he wins?

    That is somewhere in writing?

So this is like a victor reaps the spoils deal, akin to Josesito López upsetting the apple cart when he beat Ortiz and getting the privilege of getting thrashed by Canelo himself?

Barrera got Kov when he beat Murat in IBF eliminator (he lucked out because Beterbiev got injured).

What nonsense reason is that? That Martin is an accurate counter punching sharpshooter and a southpaw with heavy hands, and AJ likes to bumrush and has shaky whiskers and hasn't fared too well against southpaws in the past? Most logical Boxing fans should view Martin as the favorite.

Yeah. How many of us would be rich if we were right all the time? Hell, boxing fans act...before a fight...as if they cannot be wrong. Me too,,,I guess. ****, I am often surprised. Don't think I will be on this one. How many people on this site, and elsewhere, prefer to see a fight after it has occurred and they know the outcome in advance? None that I know. That is what makes it exciting and also why people bet. Noone really knows until the fat lady sings. With that said......Barrera is going to WHIP THAT ASS.:good

Same with me, I know I might be wrong as hell, but the way I see it my reasoning is fairly solid for why I think Barrera will take it, as opposed to theirs which is, "Ward is great.... he can't lose..... **** you."

That was 2 black american champs squaring off right? Both lineal too, and it did 1.3 mil :rofl

When you put these numbers in perspective and how much HBO paid in purses it comes out to a flop actually...
