Ward has beaten much better fighters than Barrera. The BIGGEST question is whether or not the Ward from 2010 will show up. If 2010 version Ward shows up then its a no brainer. If Ward is 70% of himself then it should be a good close fight, with the edge to Ward.
Out of shape Smith managed to land some clean shots on Ward when he let his hands go, which quite surprised me. Ward from the Rodriguez fight was a different fighter in a very good way, of course, from Ward from the Smith fight. Maybe Ward started to decline a bit. We will see what he's got in his tank. :think
That's what I'm thinking as well, Barrera will know he has to strike and impose himself early. Sanchez is no dummy, Barrera isn't stupid, and I'm sure having GGG give you pointers doesn't hurt either. That will be his strategy, he's coming to bring the pain.
Woah, I couldn't even attempt to read that multi-quoted post on page 2, I'd get lost into a black hole reading that.
yeh but even telegraphic punches early on can reek damage. :deal unless ward has sparred barrera before or been in his gym for months he wont know how barrera punches, but i think barrera is a bit basic. basically if i were sullivan i wont be waiting around relying on his style to beat ward. he needs a fast start. :yep
I doubt it... The only pain Barrera will bring is the low blows he will start landing when Ward has frustrated him to his boiling point.
funny all the ward haters not voting for their boy barrera who ward would "never fight" ****ing idiots
can't call this one, too much inactivity and playing in movies for ward for me to believe this is more than a 60/40 fight. in fact what are the odds on this fight, could be an upset.
So Ward gets even more credit if he wins the fight , yes? Beating guys your meant to get whooped by is sure fire sign you're the creme de la creme.
