life and death? that's an exaggeration. boone caught him with a good shot early in boxing. it comes with the territory in boxing. the fact that he's yet to travel? blah blah blah. that's offset by the way he utterly dominates elite competition. sven ottke was nothing more than a eurobum, in fact he was the epitome of one. the constant, gross robberies he was involved in as a fighter were and still are, a disgrace. he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as ward.

Thats a fair post, though a big difference was that Ottke was fighting in front of massive crowds of 10k+ in Germany rather than a few thousand in Oakland.
I think Ottke would out box Ward but judging by how Ward was given 120-108 against Bika, Ottke would have to KO Ward to win in Oakland, which I wouldnt put past him.
