Who do you think would win in a match up between Andre Ward of today and Winky Wright of the early 2000's?

I love Wright but Ward is a the bigger and more complete boxer he would get the better of Wright and win a close UD.

Wright's style would play no part in the fight considering that Ward likes to get in close and maul you to death.

plus Ward is the naturally bigger fighter.

Ward is too big and would eclipse Wright in every area.

Better question would be how Winky Wright would do against some 154lbs'ers today, I think he'd whip most of them, personally.

Ward really easy, man vs boy because Ward is so much bigger.

    Exactly.

Wink actually spent most of his career as a thick-bodied light middle. While he looked big at 154 (especially in the upper body), that doesn't necessarily mean he didn't belong there. IMO he is a natural light middle, and was undersized in his short middleweight campaign.

The somewhat competitive light heavy encounter with Hopkins was anomalous. Remember that Hopkins was himself a middleweight who climbed up there, not a natural light heavy. (not to mention several years older than Wink)

Very good light middle (somewhat of a one-trick pony; that impression of Wink does get overblown but there is a kernel of truth in it...) vs. great super middle (who also happens to be among the most versatile pound for pound boxers alive) = kind of a no-brainer.
