Yeah good point and you're right Ward whilst not a KO artist is strong in other ways,he's gonna have to be real brave to get his own shots off,I'm surprised how many have Ward the favourite actually as I have Kovalev as the slight favourite but really this is as close a 50/50 fight you'll get and they usually come up trumps,last few 50/50 fights this year was Frampton v Cruz and Thurman v Porter both were great fights.

 

That's fine too. But if you're an Ace at cutting the ring off, there's a high possibility you can get the knockout.

 

It looked more like to me Kovalev didn't go for the broke because he didn't want to punch himself out and couldn't find the right angle to land his power shots.

And if he couldn't get to a crafty defensive fighter in B-Hop, how is he gonna do that to a much younger, much fresher, faster, stronger, sharper version of him?

 

I'm looking forward to this whitewash by Ward. There's nothing Kovalev brings to the table that Ward hasn't seen before.

 

And he can score with his exceptionally quick jab/left hook while on the move, or quickly get inside to smother Kovalev and use his tricks to score while grabbing. You need to stop referring to B-Hop fight to predict the outcome of this. It won't be similar.

 

You beat me to it lol,Wards never been in with anyone like Kovalev,if he pulls it off after his inactivity he gets massive respect in my book and quite rightly the pound for pound title.

 

You'll see how overrated that power is when power doesn't land.
