Andre Ward will be the weakest puncher Froch has faced in years

Does this mean Froch can take more risks.

I cant really see Ward hurting Froch with any punches.

Big big fan of Froch now. But Ward will box his ears off with stunning ease.

Ward has enough pop in his punches to halt Froch's progress. Timing is everything and Ward will have thought about what he's going to do and delivered it before Froch even realises what's happened.

Ward is strong guy. He doesn't have concussive power but he has enough pomp to stop you from just marauding forwards. In saying that i think Froch will find his punches less hurtful then his last run of fights but timing + speed does hurt anyone who's boxed knows ''the punches you don't see hurt the most''.

Ward no doubt has the best accuracy and timing out of all Froch has faced but its only really one punch power shots that done Froch damage, he took alot lasts night and didnt realy go all out either, I just think Wards weak power is a major plus for Froch

****ing hell. Ward couldn't even hurt Allan Green, and we've all seen how god awful Green is.

Ward is not stopping Froch. I am really surprised that people are picking him to do so.

That is true. Whilst I reckon Ward will hit Froch a lot, the other two durable opponents in Bika and Abraham lasted the distance, and Kessler shipped a lot and has always shown a good chin, it was the headbutts that bothered him more than anything.

I was wrong. Ward will win a wide decision though.

You're in for a world of surprise my friend. It's not all about records on paper. Logically Ward shouldn't hurt Froch, but he will due to handspeed and clean punching. Dirrell wasn't a puncher compared to Abraham or Kessler yet hurt him more than both. It isn't an exact science, its all about quality of shot as long as you aren't genuinely feather fisted. And Ward isn't that, he stunned Kess.

This is the sort of logic that got Hatton knocked out against Mayweather.

When you get somebody slick like Ward and somebody with a porous defence like Froch, there's always a chance that the latter will be stopped.

I don't think when people say Froch will get KO'd that they think Ward will do it with one big shot, it'll be an accumulative effect where he keeps landing unanswered punches and Froch folds.

Froch can beat Ward, he has more than enough skill and pop to find his way past him...:yep

Yeah but Froch is durable, he'll get stunned, and as I said on another thread it's not out of the realms if possibility that Wards quality of punching adding to the fact he'll probably outclass Froch could see him force a stoppage (I've lost where I am...)

Oh, yeah but Froch should be able to come through it IMO. But I expect it to be a comprehensive loss.

It's just that Ward landed many, many unanswered punches on Allan Green, a fighter hardly renowned for his chin (Stopped by Glen Johnson, who couldn't really hurt Froch, and nearly knocked out by Edison Miranda), and who didn't really have a great defense either. Ward didn't even come close to having Green, Bika or Miranda out, and I'm inclined to believe that Froch has a much better chin than Green and Miranda, and is at least on a par with Bika. If Ward hardly even buzzed those guys, whom he hit pretty easily, I really can't see how he would come close to stopping Froch.

I would definetely, with full confidence, bet my ESB career (if you could call it that) on Ward not stopping Froch in that fight. I mean, I can see Ward winning just about every round, but stopping the Cobra? Nah, I don't see it.

Are many people on here picking a Ward stoppage?
