Sakio Bika did alright against Ward, that was hardly a convincing win by Ward. Froch is way better than Bika.

Intangibles is often used in the exact opposite way it should be in terms of boxing, by loads of writers who being writers should know better too.

Was that a chicken head "whatever"?:good

I know "intangibles" is a cool word to use, the commentators seem to love it as well but most of those qualities you listed arn't intangibles.

    in·tan·gi·ble (n-tnj-bl)
    adj.
    1. Incapable of being perceived by the senses.
    2. Incapable of being realized or defined.

So thats power, durability, strength and stamina out then. All tangible qualities.

I think Froch can win this. Apart from the Kessler fight he always seems to find a way to win and can adapt his style and I’m not entirely convinced by Ward. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if SOG/Sod/SoB won a decision, but I think Froch will rough him and up and stop him.

That really doesn't mean anything at all. Froch would probably look terrible against Bika, but it's just the type of fighter Bika is, a spoiler.

I thought Froch's performance against Abraham was more convincing than Ward's, but I wouldn't use it as a yardstick.

If Froch really thinks that then he has an excellent chance of being stopped in this fight as he would be cavalier and get clocked.

"The term intangibles is most commonly used to describe things that are recognized but not easily quantified".

Using your dictionary definition that would be the second part of point 2.

In boxing terms, power, durability, strength and stamina can't be measured and can't be pigeon holed.

Thanks for playing. If you disagree, then I'll leave you to it.

They are not intangibles even in the lax boxing sense you are trying to invent, a boxers power is an intangible? Still, its a good word to throw in a sentence though eh? They use it on the TV and everything....

("Incapable of" is the not the same as "not easily"....just sayin')
