2012 - Fought a drained Chad Dawson

2013- Fought Edwin Rodriguez

2014- Did not fight

2015- Fought Paul Smith

He basically went on a self imposed exile. Kind of like Ali did except it wasn't government mandated.

He threw away 4 prime years and now time is a factor.

Ward has settled into family life. He has a wife and 4 kids. He just wants a few $2 million paydays and he is set for retirement. No Kovalev.

 

What boggles my mind is that Roc Nation signed Ward in November 2014. But they were only able to get him 1 BET fight in all of 2015. Incredible.
