You cant seriously suggest that it is okay to lower your forehead like Ward did against Kessler and simlply run forward until the forehead crashes into the opponents face. Thats not boxing! You are not even allowed to do something like that in MMA.

Ward is intelligent, skillfull, disciplined and a great role model outside the ring. He will defeat Froch, no doubt in my mind. But he IS a cheater. Normally he keeps it within certain frames, but against Kessler he just lost it. He flipped.

Kessler can deal with dirty tactics, as long as it is NORMAL dirty tactics, but Ward was allowed to do anything, and that was too much. He could have kicked Kessler in the nutters and it would have been ruled a tangeling of feets :patsch

It wasn't "employed" at all. The headbutts happened, as they do in many, many boxing matches. There is zero evidence that they were deliberate. The notion is absurd, since before a single headbutt occurred, Ward was dominating the fight.

Ward isn't a power puncher, but he still bullies and intimidates opponents in the ring. He tough, physically strong, and fights dirty.

If you throw and punch at Ward and he slips it, you better watch out. He likes to counter with his head

Let me ask you this, when has boxing ever been about Knockouts only??? Seriously, just because you dont score a KO in all of your bouts doesnt make you any lesser of a fighter. Have you ever heard of beating your opponents with smarts instead of beating them with brute strenght.

You really need to rewatch Ward if you're so keen on saying he doesnt have any power...He sure as hell keeps his opponents honest..They might tend to agree with what I'm saying...I agree he doesnt have that one punch KO power but he does have the power to make you not want to get hit anymore.

Based on his body of work as of lately ( and espicailly if he gets by Froch) he should be considered the #1 guy in the division.

Hate to break it to you but he been dominate so I dont see how you can say he's had hometown decision.:patsch

You're nothing more than a hater man! You better believe once Ward beats Froch, I'm bumping this thread!!!:good

Exactly. Bika made the fight rough but it was a clear win for Ward.

Give him 4 oz gloves, and I'm sure people will start dropping.

I hate making this comparison, but he's kinda Floyd-esque in that regard. Not a finisher. No real one-punch power. But he has a way of being able to make guys stop in their tracks with his punches.

I think he is a V good all round fighter but employes dirty tactics to give him a clear advantage. He used them as a tool to beat Kessler which is clearly cheating and bad for the sport. He still would have beaten Kessler as he is a better skilled boxer, but it spoiled the victory in my opinion.

Until he stops these things, i wont be rooting for him.
