I'm re-watching the Ward-Green fight...that holding Ward likes to do, will not work. One thing I can say about the holding is, he works while holding. Unlike B-Hop, who just holds...Ward likes to work on yhe inside while hugging..but it won't work against Dirrell. Dirrell will just step to the side when Ward lunges in for a hug and counter him.

I have to agree...I havn't seen Ward's bout with Green yet, but I have a feeling Dirrell will come out the victor in this bout.

Dirrell has a better, stiffer jab, and has better movement. Dirrell will burst this hype bubble. Ward can't crack an egg, never mind Dirrell's suspect Chin.

    Dirrell UD.

He called it quits for a while....but if PBF-Pac gets signed...he will be back in force!!

And he took the old ones down...I told him people were asking about em.

Ill ask him today if he's gonna put em back up

:rofl:patsch I was merely improving the odds on a Ward win. The more people who thought that bum Green would win, the more money I would win at the bookies. Kerching.:smoke

I like Ward..but damn that boi likes to hug...but like I said, he does work on the inside.

I was at a cookout Sat. while watching the fight and I was the only person that watched boxing in the house, so I'm sitting there breaking down the whole tourney and the fighters..telling em how this was great for the sport, etc. Gettin em all into it..then after the fight started, they was looking at the fight like "this some bull****"

I wouldn't be surprised if Dirrell won. He has the talent and speed advantage which could possibly give Ward too many problems to overcome.

Ward won't fight against Dirrell the same way he did against Green. In case you didn't notice, he has a different gameplan tailored to every fight.

Ward isnt a consistent hugger in all his fights. Specifically on the big punchers, will he apply a "smothering" technique that takes away the puncher's power, mentally break them down, and soften them up....

I would like to know some insights and opinions on HOW Dirrell will beat Ward. Im not saying that he couldnt, but i'd like to read what Dirrell has to suredly beat Ward. So far, the only thing ive seen so far was a "Stiff jab". Ironically, one poster (from another forum) had said that Ward will never be great because he doesnt jab enough. I countered in saying that Ward is a very effective and effecient boxer, he doesnt rely on punch spam or volume. Spamming and volume punching leads to being countered easily, especially if the opponent can get a read on the rhythm.

If no one can give definitive or substantial reasons why Dirrell will beat Ward, than does Dirrell have a serious chance (like past 60%) of beating Ward?
