I really like Dirrell and I will be pulling for him in the fight. I think he brings a unique dynamic to the ring that I haven't seen Ward have to deal with: SPEED, he also has some pop, I for one like Dirrell's movement (some view this as a negative, but I think it's good boxing), and how someone arrives at the conclusion that Andre D. has a suspect chin is beyond me but either way he poses a lot of problems for Ward. That being said Ward is ****ing tuff, and he's got a mean streak about him, he too is pretty quick and is obviously extremely skilled and talented. I give Ward little in terms of physical advantages, but I certianly give him the nod in terms of toughness and mental makeup. I think Ward by SD, but I wouldn't be shocked or dissappointed if AD won.

Dirrell is faster... he'll need to use that as much as possible. Dirrell is a big mover also, which will cause Ward problems on setting up much attacks. Andre Ward mean? :p Oh yeah, he's bigtime subtle mean. He does like to intimidate and mentally breakdown an opponent in the ring. And he does do subtle dirtyboxing. But i dont think this will be an element in this fight - both are good friends.

It'll be interesting how Ward's gonna deal with Dirrell's punching speed and foot movement. Dirrell knows now to get out of the clinch/inside or stay off the ropes lol... he dont wanna get mauled and beat up like Miranda or Green!

I think Ward and his team will analyze Dirrell's movements and punching habits and look to trap him and attack/counter at the right times according to Dirrell's habits.... this seems to be a general gameplan for every Ward's fight he ends up literally shutting out. Only way to do this is be versatile....

This analysis is based on Ward doing the same thing. But if you look at some of his past fights, he doesn't do that all the time. The guy can adjust his style, and probably won't bring the same gameplan to Dirrell that he did Green. People continue to underestimate Ward because he's not terribly exciting, but the guy is super talented, and Dirrell will lose a lop-sided decision too. Probably not as lop-sided as Green, but it will be a clear cut Ward win.

    Thank you.

Andre Ward is capable of fighting in more ways than you guys even know. He is a Gold Medalist and has an undefeated record with lopsided wins against Kessler, Green and Miranda. If Dirrell beats Ward it will be by a very narrow margin. I personally believe Ward beats Dirrell and goes on to win the Super 6 undefeated. Next up will be Lucian Bute who I believe will be Ward's toughest challenge.

At the end of the Ward/Green fight, the commentators were saying something about the Andres' fight being in Europe? Eh?
Im gonna say in order for Dirrell to win it'll have to be a ko/tko. Ward is TOO good in winning rounds.... and its not because he's just in his hometown for pete's sakes lol.... or rack up points thru headbutts (for those headbutt conspiracy theorists)

    I don't see it.
I fully expect Ward to defeat Dirrell.

Dirrell certainly has the best chance, he is the fastest fighter in the Super Six so if anyone can take a strap of Ward it will be him. I still favor Ward though.

Ward is the next Hopkins, good technical fighter with high ring IQ and willing to play dirty if he needs to.

I agree. I've heard alot about what Ward cannot do and not much concerning what Dirrell needs to do to win. I don't see Ward being at a level that "a good stiff jab" will be all it takes.

First of all I didn't see any holding initiated by Ward. Green was actually the one tying Ward up and failed miserably at fighting on the inside. Dirrell doesn't have the heart to beat a champion like Ward. This is the fight im excited to see and I believe Ward will look even better than he has already. Don't get me wrong, Dirrell has proved himself to be a very skilled fighter and is fully capable of winning this tournament. But he does not have the mindset nor heart to beat a champion like Ward.
