    desperately wishful thinking

wtf r u gonna' do if Ward wins?

I mean like fair and square , no bull**** not controversial?

How will you be able to carry on?

Your hate plus your pride will require seppuku...that is, unless you are less than samurai, which I'm quite sure is the case...

IIRC Ward had him solved. He landed more and Froch couldn't time him. Froch said he 'couldn't get his shots off.' and later said that his distance and positioning were just too much for him that night. Too close or too far. Too close is likely what had me grumbling after I watched it on fight night. Maybe a headbutt or two.

Taking the Chilemba fight was a mistake. I get the thinking: practice dealing with a mover who is tough to hit. But it also flagged up Krusher's short-comings against fighters with this style, with Ward being a way better version too; so-much-so Kovalev will have learned virtually nothing. That fight gave Ward way more insight into Kovalev than the other way round.

i got a feeling you will be entirely wrong, and kovalev dominates after scaring ward with that sledgehammer jab early on, probably putting him on his ass. then we will see ward a little more active than hopkins trying to sneak counters but with only 1/5 of the chin as hopkins he soon wilts and folds to a krushing.

'Wrong' would have sufficed. 'Entirely wrong' hints at the need to over-emphasise. For some reason or other. Anyway, we'll see on fight night. Kudos to Krusher if he delivers the performance you very specifically outline...

They were all saying basically the same thing before the Hopkins fight. They attributed Hopkins with such magical and enigmatic abilities that Kovalev could not possibly solve. Now this narrative is cobbled around Ward being a 2.0 magical version of Hopkins who will surely frustrate Kovalev this time.

I have read nothing but wishful thinking replete with specious boxing break downs on how Ward is going to win. The motivations are so transparent, uneducated and time consuming, it makes me wish they would just get their excuses ready like they did after Hopkins and move on to supporting Stevenson next. After Stevenson they will all be S.O.L but all is not lost Marcus Browne might still be around.

To be fair, ward wouldn't have a hope in hell of surviving the shots Isaac did

Yet again, it appears that Kovalev's boxing skills are being sold short by the masses. Too many people tend to classify him as being (solely) a "come forward" plodder in there...

    Just an unbiased observation. :eusa_whistle:

it just fits their agenda, no one who has ever faced kovalev would say the same. the real people involved in boxing know hes the real deal well schooled.
