Exactly - I like this fight because it is an actual contest where everyone's opinions are split.

This is what we missed out on from 2013 to now with Ward mores the pity.

 

He had a lengthy lay off for sure, but that doesnt take away quality just a little ring smarts that can be got back pretty quickly within 2/3 fights whch he has already done - the differnce between the two fighters goes deeper than quality here though, Andre has the ability to mix it up and can throw punches coming in at angles and fights very well off the back foot, Kovalev has only one gear and that pushes him forward in straight lines....I hope im wrong but I can only see one winner in this fight!

 

I have to admit, the image that I have from Ward indicated he would pull out the fight. It seems he is doing it so the image was false. Even though the fight is probably the best match up 2016, some people are making this more than it actually is. Both guys need a PPV fight and they are only ones who can provide it so fighting each other was only logical.

Some extremist in ESB are trying to make this look like skills vs power, but reality is that neither would be P4P if they had good skills and good power. Ward might have a style that looks more skilled, but it´s just a style. Kovalev is very skillful fighter who knows how to box. The thing is, Kovalev also knows how to hurt his opponent. Ward got hit 156 times against Froch. Froch footwork, jab and power are at least one level below Kova's. If this fight goes to 12, Kovalev will touch Ward at least 200 times with power. Ward has to be very aggressive in order to win on points, but Kovalev will make it very hard. (Normally fighters output descrease from previous fights)

 

As long as the Legitimately better man on the night gets the win I'll be happy & so will you

 

Yeah I can go along with that, I have no animosity towards Andre and it wont make my days any worst if he was to win, im just hoping there is a little excitement in it!!

 

No he wont, but he wish he had when kova starts landing dem bombs.
