Andre Ward won't get big fights unless he makes these changes

He needs to leave Oakland what top big draw fighter is going to go to Oakland and fight, Stevenson can draw big on Canada, Kovalev same deal, Froch and Groves draw in the UK ect Ward isn't a draw he needs to accept this and fight away from home, Drug testing well their is not excuse not to do that imo. Nobody is arguing that Ward isn't amazing and number 2 p4p ect but in boxing you don't get paid by just being great you get paid what your worth what you earn for the network ect. Rigondeaux is miles ahead of LSC but you couldn't say he should be paid more when he doesn't bring as much money simple really.

 

ggg hasn't proven to be the bigger draw.

he doesn't need to go to canada or the uk to fight stevenson or froch either.

kovalev has done nothing to warrant a shot at ward.

u got it twisted. they all need ward. ward doesn't need them. he's the accomplished gold medalist/world champion who hasn't been beaten since he was 13.

there are no do overs on negotiations. he's the best of all the fighters mentioned. he dictates the terms. period.

Ward has a very big fight right now if he wants it, a fight with STEVENSON who will fight him at 175 or 168, Stevenson called him out live on HBO, so if Ward wants the fight all he has to do is say yes, but right now he is afraid to even answer Stevenson..................

 

Ward's opponents make twice as much as GG or Kovalev..

 

Ward is wasting his prime. He needs to start making things happen now!

I agree he has promotional issues, he needs to get them sorted ASAP. There are a number of fighters he could/should fight who are bigger cashcows than him (Froch2/ChavezJr/GGG).

And in terms of legacy NOT money he has to leave Oakland and travel overseas at some point.

 

Froch and Chavez Jr make twice as much as Ward.

 

He will end up like sergio martinez if he carries on in this way.

He doesn't dictate ****, otherwise he would be active and makung big money.

 

Stevenson called out Ward live on HBO, Ward refused to even answer him, Stevenson even said he would fight Ward at 168. Ward said that Kovalev was too big for him....................let Ward stay in court, he can retire in court. Ward is a spoiled brat who never fights outside him home town, he has to have his personal referee, judges and boxing commission. Ward is the only one who did not have to travel in his own personal tournament that was made for him...............

 

Ward is merely an afterthought.

Dioesnt he essentially have a fight with Hopkins already lined up?
