Ward has had it all his own way in term of venue ref ect his whole career I seriously think if you take away that inside advatage he gets through hometown refs allowing him to hold and headbut his wasy to victory he is not as special as people think. How did he "struggle" against Green when he didn't lose a round and how much holding did he do against Froch? Furthermore, how many of his Super Six fights were close affairs? The hometown crowd means nothing in this case, it isn't like Ward was squeaking by in the fights, he was white-washing fighters, and I think any doubts on Ward's mental toughness have been laid to rest. He might fight Froch overseas as a money fight, he might not. Either way, Froch didn't make any case that he could beat Ward from what we saw in their first encounter. That is taking nothing away from Froch, he is a very good fighter and his comeback after losing to Ward has been strong. That said, it's very clear that he has little more than a puncher's chance against Ward.

Ward has become very irrelevant for the SMW division, i mean yeah he beat Froch, but after being so inactive while Froch got great W's over Bute & Kessler. (Ward ducked Bute) Froch is now the man in the division, i mean look, everyone is calling Froch out. Ward's name is only being bought up with Froch, The Cobra is now the man to beat. Andre does not have a exciting style or a fan base. Bute, Kessler & Froch brings much more to the table financially than Ward does and brings entertaining fights. Froch is now the WBA and IBF Champion. Bika the WBC champion. The point is: Ward needs Froch more than Froch needs Ward. The public in general does not give a f*ck about Andre, they wanna see Froch who brings excitement and entertainment, he now enjoys huge success. One of the few europeans who actually can bring either Showtime or HBO to the other side of the atlantic, that just goes to show how great of a deal Froch has become. Andre Ward might be the best SMW, but is irrelevant to the division, everyone wants to beat Froch now.
