I don't think its so much that HE views that Froch has improved so much or that he thinks a rematch against Froch would be highly competitive. But I believe he may have been annoyed (ego getting in the way) that HBO commentators were suggesting that he has improved. I like Ward but I could see he is highly competitive and had a hard time switching from the 'fighter' Ward to commentator Ward tonight.

Uhhh, see the post below where you asked the question. He
provided a link confirming this statement.

Those quotes are made up. In the HBO and Sky telecasts he said Froch was the deserved winner and did much more.

Funny thing is, Kessler was the 'balls to the walls' guy in the first fight and people credit that to him winning. Now he is more economical and boxes and people see it as a clear defeat.

Nope, not made up. The OP provided a link with an article
quoting both men saying such. I think Ward was just
posturing for HBO seeing they were on Froch's sack the
    whole show. Pitiful.

Noone is saying it was a clear win - except for this Adelaide Byrd moron.

It was razor-thin for one of them and in the UK it is no surprise Froch got the nod and convinced most people at home hearing the whole atmosphere. It was close like the first fight and just like that this was also not a robbery. Such close fights are not robberies.

Maybe something messed up in the translation, because the below orange bit isn't said in the article...

    OP's quote:

Kessler impressed my tonight. His offense was sharp, and his defense better than in a long time. He seemed crisp and sharp. I don't know if it was mentally or physically but I think he could have dominated Carl with the game he showed tonight, and perhaps even stop Carl. He could really have dominated. Something held Mikkel back, and that was a shame. He looked like clearly the better boxer of the two.

    Article's quote:

Kessler impressed me tonight. His offense was sharp, his defensive is better than long. He seemed crisp and sharp. I do not know if it was a mental thing, or if his fitness was not sufficient, but I think he missed a clear chance to dominate Carl Froch tonight and possibly even stop him. He could have done much damage to him. But something held him back, and it is a shame for Mikkel Kessler. He looked like otherwise the better boxer up there

Yeah, but in the 1st fight the scores were more aligned
with the fight. These scores were scandalous on 2 cards.

I thought it was a carbon-copy of the first fight, only the tables were turned. Froch tonight did to Kessler what Kessler did to him in Denmark. Both fights were equally as competitive as one another. Only this time round, Kessler declined to the point where Froch could take over. 2010 Kessler and the one before that, would have won tonight.

Pretty much this. I feel kessler has genuine reason to believe he can beat Froch vice versa. its just about who can execute come fight night. I'd love to see this on neutral ground

Froch is 35 already. I know what Ward is doing. Making the old man wait for a rematch before he beats him again
