    That might explain why he looked uncomfortable when Froch upped the pressure in the last couple of rounds. In which case with a good hand froch would of been even less competitive.

    Soft tissue damage - Category 3 contusion according to Goosen.

    Did it sparring recently, then iced up until the fight. He said it felt fine up until the 6th when he felt it go again.

    Too risky probabily. Ward doesn't switch hit as much as he did early on, when he was just beginning to understand his identity as a fighter. He's not as good defensively when he turns southpaw, it's more of a party trick then anything else.

    Plus he was pretty much pitching a shutout, so why fix what's not broke.
