Anyway, Ward can keep on winning and carry on pissing off Calzaghe obsessed weirdos like bailey. Plus Ward is still only 29 so hopefully some new talent will emerge to challenge him.
It's not ridiculous, it's called raising your profile by beating a star. Funny thing is Calzaghe said that Roy was shot and he would gain nothing by fighting him, only to fight him a couple years later. The thing is Calzaghe was promoted by Frank W This content is protected rren who's notorious for protecting his fighters and keeping them at home. Hatton left W This content is protected rren before coming to the states, so did Khan. When Calzaghe left W This content is protected rren the Jones fight was made very quickly. You think it's a coincidence?
The crazy thing about this whole ordeal pertaining failey...When presented with what Calzaghe stated about his career, they'll find a way to twist it or just change the topic all together. They downplay Ward because they feel threatened by his accomplishments so far so they'll do their best to twist facts and totally downplay what Ward has done so far...Its like talking to a brick wall at time dealing with Calzaghe stans.
No not at all, but is also no coincidence that Calzaghe only picked up the courage to travel and fight Hopkins and Jones when they were both old and past there best (or totally shot as was the case with Jones). FW doesn't like taking risks with his fighters and in Calzaghe he had the ideal man to promote.
We've been through this. He goaded Floyd by saying what he did. Floyd watched the interview at home, and was outraged when he heard Ricky say it. He rang Ellerbe up and demanded that he made the fight.
Bailey, You've posted up Joe's claims again for the thousandth time. (Which I don't mind, because it's fun arguing with you.) "I chased Roy for 5 or 6 years!" I've proved that the above statement is not true. It's not even a slight exaggeration. It's just an outright lie. If you want to use his statement as evidence, then you're going to have to admit that he was lying when I prove otherwise. I've already proven with the timeline that he was lying. I've actually proved it 2 to 3 times. Each time I prove he was lying, you then say it was an off the cuff remark. So make your mind up, because you can't have it both ways. It's either evidence to support your argument, or it's just an off the cuff remark. If you believe it was just an off the cuff remark (which clearly it wasn't) then you can't use it as evidence in ESB's courtroom. Your boy Joseph was a hell of a fighter. But he told porkies, and he didn't push himself as much as he should have done.
Whether you love or hate Calzaghe, to say Ward is the best at SMW ever is silly. Let's wait until Ward can start beating guys into his 30's. Everyone who is still relatively young is always dubbed as an ATG during their streak. Maybe when they start to fight younger guys when they are older they may start to lose.
Good points, lets wait and see. It's Bailey that likes to compare Joe's record with Andre's, which is completely ridiculous, because Andre's only 28/29 with just 26 fights on his resume.
