So do you also forget how Calzaghe agreed to fight Hopkins back in 03 only for Hopkins to back out after Calzaghe had been calling out Hopkins and Jones

So Hatton saying I will leave it at that and not saying he wants to fight Floyd was better than Calzaghe saying on live TV that he wants to Roy Jones and saying that Jones would be found wanting.
    Yeah ok Loudon :patsch:lol:

You listen to me now, yeah? Actions speak louder than words and Hatton made all the necessary actions to get the fight with Mayweather. Joe didn't leave Europe till 2008. You understand?

You havent proved a thing Loudon, you jumped on an off the cuff comment and tried to call it a gospel to try and bend an argument, where Roy Jones himself said he knew Calzaghe had been chasing him for years, and you saw the footage of that, which blew you out the water.
I have seen the footage where not only Calzaghe claims it, but Roy Jones also. You cant get better than that :good

I dont like to compare them, I just show up the fanboys that do try and compare them, especially seeing that most of them dont know fighters like Woodhall etc. So I have fun comparing them when people say that Wards resume is greater by beating a leftover

So Hopkinks wanted to wait till he was older and past prime before fighting Joe? Joe priced himself out of the fight.

Hopkins ducked him all the way up to 2007. Here's a quote from the man himself confirming it...

This was after Calzaghe's masterclass vs Lacy. Hopkins didn't even bother fighting a heavyweight, settling for pretend heavyweight Mason Dixon coming off losing 45lbs

The Hopkins, Calzaghe fight in 2002 was part of a three fight deal Hopkins was going to sign, part of which would have involved a Calzaghe fight. However, Hopkins was getting ripped off by Don King and would have seen very little of the contract money, which is why he asked for more and which is why the fight fell through.

As for FW agreeing to pay Hopkins $3 millions, hahaha, we all know we can trust him dont we:lol:. You guys make it sound as if FW turned up on Hopkins doorstep with a suitcase full of money and Hopkins said "no way, I'm not fighting Calzaghe".

So we have more Calzaghe fanatic logic. Hopkins was happy to fight Calzaghe at the age of 43 and past prime, he was even willing to rematch him. But he was scared of fighting Calzaghe when he was in his prime.

So Hopkins agreed to 3 mil, then asked for more money and then fought Hakkar for for less than half that 3 mil.
the 3 fight deal was just one deal which was offered, where Hopkins would have fought undefeated MW champ Simon also, which would arguably have been Hopkins biggest MW win if he were to have won that, but he didnt take that either.
Hopkins agreed to fight Calzaghe when he was the bigger man and had the excuse of age.

So you make a comment about FW, made a comment about King. What comment are you going to make for Larkin :|

    Typical fanboy in denial

Andre Wardkke will not fight anyone unless he has maximum advantage going in.
He is the most boring fights of the last 60 years without doubt and nobody really gives a **** if or when he fights again because he utterly irrelevant.

    Bailey,

He didn't have to say "I want Floyd!" He baited him by saying what he did. It was a live dig in front of millions of people, and Floyd was angry. He phoned Ellerbe in a rage. Ellerbe has publicly stated that. He told him he badly wanted the fight. Ricky knew exactly what he was doing.

Joe actually said he was looking to fight Roy, but then did NOTHING! He continued to fight at 168 in Britain.

Now I'll try asking you the same question that I always ask you, that you can't answer.

How was fighting the likes of Brewer and Jiminez at 168 in Britain, going to land him a big money fight against Roy who fought in America at 175??

    Talk is cheap.

Joe had a 15 year career.

For 11 of those 15 years, he fought in a DIFFERENT weight class to Roy.

    Bailey,

Ha! I have PROVED it, and I'll do it again if you wish.

If you truly believe it was an off the cuff remark, then stop using it to back up your posts. It's either proof or an off the cuff remark. Which one?

Now saying that you chased someone for 5 to 6 years is not an off the cuff remark anyway. Joe claimed he'd been hard done by. He was playing the victim, pretending he wanted Roy.

Joe was a pro for 15 years. For 11 of those years, he fought in a DIFFERENT weight class. But he chased him for 6 years? Yeah right. If you want the timeline again you can have it.

Also Roy never confirmed that Joe had chased him for 6 years. All Roy said was "I know Joe's wanted to fight me for some time." They were being polite to each other, and splitting everything down the middle 50/50. Do you seriously think Roy validated Joe's ridiculous claims by saying what he said?

I get that, but you've asked those two questions of yours a hundred times. If you want to do a comparison, try a head to head breakdown of strengths and weaknesses etc. Or compare them when they were both 28/29.
