You think Froch now, when he has trouble being able to bring his guard up on one side due to injury, who has had tough fights and fought G Johnson to a Mdec and now at nearly 36 is prime? Benn, Collins, Eubank were all retired by that age
    Dino sinking

Dino dismantled by ESB great KO Artist and I can only say what an honour that my name was mentioned while this pwnage of Dino took place
What has Oosthuizen, Groves or DeGale done yet let alone Rodriguez. The era is weak and Ward lost the chance to fight a good rival in Bute, which would have been the best match up for him

If you are referring to Calzaghe - If you dont think at 37 and after 24 world title fights that Calzaghe was not past his best, then fair enough
who do you think he should have fought?

He should of fought one of the title holders and won a legit belt to become a two weight world champ.
Froch hasn't had a hard career. He took minimal damage apart from Ward and Kessler.

Andre ward has only got 2 options

fight his mandatory sakio bika....or..move up and fight bernard hopkins

sakio bika bust both sides of ward's face open andre ward and his momma know he lost the fight

After the fight ward's mum said that bika made her baby's face all red:oops:

only rematch ward should have is sakio bika because it was competitive:deal

If the referee don't allow ward to hold bhop and bika will beat him

    good post, bailey

If Bute beats Pascal, and I think this will happen, he will try a fight with Froch (I see no way for Kessler beating in England). A remark here. All other top fighters avoided to go in Canada for a fight with Bute.So he was pushed to go in England being threaten to become soconf Otke otherwise.

Ward will never agree to fight Bute until he avenges his defeat against Froch. Was the single fighter Ward was really afraid at 168 and I think he still is.Let`s remember he declared before the tournament final he`d have meet Bute to clarify it.Remained just words.

^THis.... Ohhh, and if Ward's biggest W remains to be Kessler then Calzaghe will always remain > Ward because of the version they both fought... Imo..

From an interview with The Mirror, where Calzaghe openly states that he does not want to fight Roy Jones and he does not want tough fights.

    http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Boxing:+I'm+lord+of+the+Welsh+rings+says+Calzaghe.-a060444934

Which begs the question, why do some people still question why Calzaghe never fought Jones when it mattered and didn't take tougher fights for 99% of his career, when his clearly said himself that he didn't want to do either.

Thanks for the link...Its quite safe to say that any Calzaghe stan wants to try to big up legacy, this needs to be posted...Quite sad that he didnt push himself to greatness...Good fighter overall but not as great as his worthless fans try to imply.:-(

Yet Calzaghe fanatics on here still say that while Roy Jones was P4P number one, making millions of dollars for defending his LH crown in America, he should have moved down in weight, traveled to Wales and took a small purse to fight a guy with no real international standing who had openly said that he didn't want to fight him. An amazing twist of logic by any ones standards.

his options are few. he's beaten everyone of note at smw other than bute and bute was steamrolled by a guy ward beat in fairly lopsided fashion. the few options he has are:

    1. winner of pascal-bute. bute will have re-established himself if he won, and pascal will have done the same following the hopkins losses.

    2. winner of froch-kessler rematch- if kessler wins, he's beaten the clear second best smw, and if froch wins, he's continuing an impressive winning streak in the aftermath of the initial ward match, not to mention, he's arguably looked better than he ever has since the fight with ward, albeit against lesser opposition than he fought before ward.

    3. move up and face the ageless wonder B-hop. an interesting clash if you ask me.

    4. la bomba rodriguez?
